Do you want to create great dining experiences for our students?

We are now looking for a forward-thinking and food-loving chef to join our team at Vallhamra School! We produce breakfast and snacks for after-school care daily.

And about 1000 lunch portions.

As a chef, your tasks will include cooking from scratch. You will work according to a good structure, logistics, and with economic awareness. An important part is to follow the HACCP program for safety and quality in production.

You will work with all tasks within the operation such as food production including special diets, raw food preparation, goods reception, delivery checks, self-control, serving, washing, and cleaning.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a chef's education or equivalent training or work experience as assessed by the employer. The role requires extensive knowledge of special and allergy diets as well as good computer skills. You should also have previous experience working in a large kitchen. You need to be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Personal qualities:

You are driven to develop meals into one of the children's highlights of the day. You strive for high quality in your cooking and are genuinely interested in cooking. We are looking for someone who is responsible, curious, flexible, and has a positive attitude. You find it easy to work independently as well as collaborate and communicate with children, educators, and parents.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Your new workplace

Within the Service Unit, which belongs to the Education Administration in Partille, we produce food daily for our 34 preschools, 12 schools, and 4 nursing homes. Our goal is to prepare all food as close to the customer as possible. Therefore, we primarily have production kitchens. We work with a common menu and aim to increase the proportion of organic food.

Vallhamra School is a K-9 school with about 1000 students. The school is located in the scenic Sävedalen with good transport connections to Partille and the city center.
